Alejandro Herrera
Biography
Alejandro Herrera is a proud graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with High Honors and a Minor in Psychology & Law. He later attended Concord University School of law, where he graduated with his Juris Doctor degree.
Prior to becoming a highly respected attorney, Alex served the law firm Castaneda, Ming & Kojikian as a law clerk to the firm’s senior partner where he created and developed business plans and strategies, drafted agreements for multi-billion dollar international business transactions (involving, among other issues, commodities and futures) and participated in all aspects of transactions, such as traveling to sites (both foreign and domestic), surveying land, and negotiating with local and national bureaucrats and administrators.
Alex’s international experience includes negotiations with the Brazilian government and its local municipalities regarding mining rights and contracts. He also worked with Russian authorities resolving disputes and obtaining contractual agreements regarding fossil fuels. In addition, Mr. Herrera created a real estate investment platform for Chinese investors which required the cultivation of relationships with officials from both the US and Hong Kong governments.
Mr. Herrera’s work as a long-term clerk also provided him the opportunity to work on large-scale land acquisitions across the United States which included major hydroponic energy projects.
Prior to his practice of law, Mr. Herrera was the Gallery Creative Director of the Co’op Kiosk @ The CAMP in Costa Mesa, CA. At Co’op, Alex worked with city officials to creatively permanently integrate a storage container into a commercial retail center. His work with the city spawned his interest in land use and real estate law–areas in which Mr. Herrera still works today.
